RESULTS OF THE 2005 TOWN ELECTION

Here are the unofficial results from the 2005 town elections, held Tuesday, 8 March 2005. Polls were open from 10:00am to 7:00pm; these results were collected the next day.

Article 2: (Open Space Development) To see if the Town will vote to replace Articles V and V-A, Cluster Option with a proposed Open Space Development (OSD) and to amend related sections of the Ordinance as necessary, as proposed by the Francestown Planning Board. The purpose of the proposal is to better define the open space development option and to provide clear guidelines for this land conservation-based method of land development including minimum specifications for roads, flexibility of lot design, and landscape buffers. If approved, this method wi1l permit Open Space Development for single family residential dwellings, all other uses within an OSD will require a special exception from the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Article 3: (Wetland and Vernal Pool Conservation District) To see if the Town will vote to amend section 2-A.2 dealing with the Wetlands Conservation District and related sections of the Ordinance as necessary, as proposed by the Francestown Planning Board. The purpose of the proposal is to bring the definition of 'wetland' into conformity with the definition in RSA 482- 2:A and to provide a 100 foot building setbacks from vernal pools and wetlands greater than 3,000 square feet in area to protect critical breeding and feeding habitat. Article 4: (Rules Governing Inspector of Buildings) To see if the Town will vote to amend Rules Governing Inspector of Buildings and Approval of Building Plans and related sections of the Ordinance as necessary, as proposed by the Francestown Planning Board. The purpose of the proposal is to require building permits and thereby provide review by the building inspector for any swimming pool, athletic court, windmill, or any freestanding satellite dish, solar collector or communications antennae.
