2008 TOWN ELECTION

Here are the results of the town elections, held Tuesday, 11 March 2008. Polls were open from 10:00am to 7:00pm at Town Offices (lower level).

Article 2: Are you in favor of the adoption of Amendment No. 1 as proposed by the Planning Board for the Francestown zoning ordinance as follows: Amend Article II-A, Conservation Overlay Districts to require that the Zoning Board of Adjustment provide notice to the Conservation Commission of all Applications for Variance when the land affected is located within an overlay district.

ARTICLE 5: Are you in favor of the adoption of Amendment No. 4 as proposed by the Planning Board for the Francestown zoning ordinance as follows: Amend Article V Open Space Development to: prohibit backland lots within an open space development, set a maximum setback for structures within a lot, increase the development perimeter setback, eliminate a 60% density bonus, and require that lot sizes be adequate to provide for emergency access and to support adequate well and septic systems.

Article 1: Shall the Contoocook Valley School District raise and appropriate as a gross operating budget, not including appropriations by special warrant articles and other appropriations voted separately, the amounts set forth on the budget posted with the warrant or as amended by vote of the first session, for the purposes set forth therein, totaling $42,411,821? Should this article be defeated, the default budget shall be $41,992,419 which is the same as last year, with certain adjustments required by previous action of the Contoocook Valley School District or by law; or the governing body may hold one special meeting, in accordance with RSA 40:13, X and XVI, to take up the issue of a revised gross operating budget only.
